I kept seeing a meme on Chinese social networks, a character in a costume holding a gun and saying, "Times have changed". I have seen this quote used in comment, often applied to various real life events or anecdotes, and this got me interested.
Why would people recognize with that meme? What does this pheonomom tells about Chinese culture right now?
